Check for a code before presale begins
There are no guarantees that registration will result in a code, according to Ticketmaster.
A random lottery selects fans who registered to participate, meaning it didn’t matter when you submitted a registration as long as it was before the October 22 deadline.
Just like there are no guarantees that those who registered will get a code, there are no promises that those who got a code will secure tickets.
There is limited availability and more registrations than tickets on sale.
You will know if/when you get a code with an email that should've been received on October 24, telling you whether you were selected to gain access or were put on a waitlist.
If you're selected, you should've gotten a text with a unique code; if put on a waitlist, you might have a chance to snag tickets later.
Why fans had to register for presale
Ticketmaster has released a list of reasons why artists prefer having a registration period for presales.
They are to:
- Help block bots and scalpers
- Get more tickets to real people who want to attend the show
- Reduce resale (only 5-10% of tickets using registration are resold vs 20-30% of others)
