MANY fans were delighted when Bill Bailey was crowned Strictly 2020 winner.
But others were left wondering how the public vote panned out for HRVY, Maisie Smith and Jamie Laing. Sadly, they won't be finding out anytime soon...
Why won't the Strictly 2020 voting figures be revealed?
The Strictly final this year was based purely on a public vote. Although Bill Bailey was crowned winner, second and third places were not announced.
The BBC said that their decision not to publish voting figures is becuase they don't want to "affect the way that people vote".
The BBC said: "We invite you to vote for the dancers that you liked best, based on their performance in each show and during the series.
"Releasing voting figures could affect the way that people vote, and also have an impact on the participants. We therefore do not disclose the exact voting figures."
But fans were frustrated by the lack of transparency.
One tweeted: "So who came second and third ???"
Another ranted: "if you haven’t got anything to hide then show us, we spend good money to vote throughout the series and it’s the least you can do"
One said: "I’d love the bbc to put out the voting percentages just to see. Most other shows do, so c’mon bbc, do the right thing!"
Were the voting Strictly figures released last year?
In earlier Strictly series the final results were revealed in full, but that tradition was broken years ago.

Even Judge Craig Revel-Horwood said he'd like to see the result released in full.
He said back in 2017: “I only wish they’d make the figures from the phone vote public, to stop talk of it being fixed.
"But if one celeb gets 13 million votes and another gets two, it might not go down well.”
